THE LOVERS TRILOGY
This is the real-life love story of how I met a stranger in a shared Lyft while on a solo trip to Portland, Oregon. From this encounter arose a profound connection, a long-distance romance, and The Lovers Trilogy.
Part One describes how I met my partner, and the swift romantic escalation that followed. Part Two contains the collected letters I wrote to my lover over the seven months while we lived in different cities 2,000 miles apart. Part Three takes the form of a two-year retrospective recounting the longing and turbulence of our long-distance relationship, my cross-country journey to join her during the onset of a global pandemic, our relocation to Portland, and our trials and triumphs living in lockdown and beyond.
